Jacobs twisted his ankle leading into half-time against Casey a fortnight ago and missed the Selkirk Roosters' win against Richmond on Sunday.
The North Melbourne-listed midfielder was close to playing last week - the Kangaroos left it until late Saturday morning, after their final training session, before ruling him out.
This in turn sparked the late call-up of North Ballarat City's Jarryd Graham, who was congratulated of his promotion to VFL ranks in City's senior pre-game address for its Ballarat Football League match on Saturday afternoon.
The Roosters will continue to monitor versatile tall Bryce Curnow, who sustained a corked leg in Sunday's game.
Roosters captain Michael Searl (finger) and Max Warren (hip) both pulled up well from the encounter.
The Roosters only sported four Kangaroos-listed players - Liam Anthony, Mitch Wilkins and rookies Warren and Eric Wallace - in a 60-point win against Richmond's full VFL arm.
Roosters coach Gerard FitzGerald said it was a good reminder on the importance of developing the Roosters' list to be a competitive unit in its own right in the VFL, so North Melbourne players continued to complement the team rather than become a reliance.
