Flesh approach to zombie genre

Zombies, of course, are the new vampires. Or maybe vampires are the new zombies. I don't know, I lose track. The point is, everyone seems to love watching dead people who are also alive at the same time doing things - mostly eating human flesh and getting shot in the head. This makes In The Flesh (SBS Two, 8.30pm) a little different - here the undead have been assimilated into society, and are therefore subjected to all the hassles that accompany any group that is ever described as being ''assimilated into society''.
