A LUMEN Christi pupil has been taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle outside the primary school on Friday afternoon.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said the pupil, believed to be 10-years-old, was taken to Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital with pelvic and leg injuries.
He is currently in a serious but stable condition.
The incident is believed to have happened at 2.45pm just as pupils were preparing to leave school early for the upcoming holiday period.
Police are currently at the scene of the accident and are investigating the incident.
