GEOFF Howard, Sharon Knight and Joe Helper, our local Labor members of state parliament, are strangely silent on the matter of the expected payout by the present Napthine government on the complete stuff-up regarding the poker machine licence saga of more than $540 million from the state coffers.

They, of course, well know that it was their Brumby government which cooked up the deal which caused this stuff-up and also at the time missed out on more than $2 billion income to the state of Victoria (refer to the Auditor-General's report) from the sale of poker machines.
Their government was well warned of the contract obligations and they chose to ignore the facts.
Sadly, this will mean that schools, hospitals, roads, health and welfare will miss out on funding because of this, another mess, left by the Brumby government.
I challenge the three local members named above to respond with their reasons and excuses through the columns of The Courier in the short term.
