A Ballarat man has been charged after a number of online shoppers were duped using shopping websites.

Joel Smith McCorkindale, 20, was charged with nine counts of obtaining property by deception and has been remanded in custody.
The incidents McCorkindale has been charged with are believed to have occurred interstate as well as within Victoria.
Police are also warning people that they need to do thorough research before committing to buying things online.
He will appear at the Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on July 28.
