If you're brave enough to venture outdoors today, remember to take a brolly. Scattered showers are predicted for the rest of the day, which is already off to a cold and drizzly start. A top temperature of just 10 degrees is forecast, with tomorrow expected to be similar. However, the rain is due to stop on Monday and maybe a little bit of sun will peek out early in the week.
POLICE
While Ballarat police had a quiet night, two fatal accidents have occurred in Melbourne in the early hours of this morning. A man in his 20s died when he lost control of his Triumph motorcycle and crashed into a fence in Port Melbourne and another man was killed when a truck and a car collided on the Monash Freeway outbound lanes at Narre Warren around 4.20am.
FIRE
Ballarat Fire Brigade recorded a very quiet night, with just a false alarm at Sovereign Hill at 7.27am.
AMBULANCE/SES
Both Ambulance Victoria and the State Emergency Service also had little to report.
V/LINE
Due to Regional Rail Link works, buses are temporarily operating between Melbourne and both Ballarat and Wendouree stations until Tuesday, July 15.
