POLICE

A quiet night for Ballarat's police offices, a welcome contrast to the previous night when a police officer was stabbed in the face during an altercation in Wendouree.

Ballarat police have also confirmed missing Keilor teenager Skye Kiervan is not in the region, despite reports of sightings in Ballarat. 

FIRE

Ballarat's fire services attended a minor car accident on Peel Street at 8:30pm last night. 

They also controlled a power pole fire in Ballarat East just after midnight and attended a false alarm at Ballarat Base Hospital at 1:45am. 

WEATHER

The rain may have stopped but it's been replaced with a cold snap. Temperatures are expected to reach just seven degrees across the city today. Winds south to southwesterly 20 to 25 km/h, becoming light in the evening.

AMBULANCE

Paramedics have nothing to report as yet. 

V/LINE

No delays are expected this weekend, according to V/Line's website.
