Selfish people delay emergency services

As I flicked through Monday's article on the man who had to wait for an ambulance, I was angered.

Not because this bloke had to wait or that the ambulances didn't show up on time, but because of the people that use this service for their everyday problems.

My mother works in the health/emergency service and she has a thorough insight on what's happening.

I don't think the blame should be put on the services, but put on these people who have stubbed their toe or have a cold, and feel the need to call an ambulance and turn to the emergency sector of the hospital for assistance.

People need to harden up and not take these services for granted because the blame will always be unfairly put on the wrong party.
