Each Telstra employee is given a day to volunteer in their local community.
This year they chose to help Reid’s Guest House maintain their 138-year-old building.
Following work that started in May this year by UnitedWay Ballarat advocates, a team of Telstra employees headed to Reid’s with the intention to get as much work done as possible within 24 hours.
Telstra Country Wide area general manager Bill Mundy was part of the team that painted the building.
“We want to get as much done as possible,” he said.
“The advocacy board of Telstra wants to be better connected to the community and engaged with the community through their volunteer day.”
Mr Mundy said he was hopeful employees would be able to return to the building after the volunteer day to continue the work.
Haymes Paint helped by supplying the paint.
