A large white coach fitted with an indoor lawn bowls green surprised onlookers when it arrived at the Sebastopol Bowling Club on Friday morning.
The AAT Kings coach stopped in Ballarat during its six-week, 60-town tour of Australia.
AAT Kings state manager Julie Pratt said the visit was all in the name of fun.
“It is something fun and quirky and shows support for our regional offices,” Ms Pratt said.
Ms Pratt said there would also be a Guinness World Record attempt on board the coach in Sydney after the tour.
“We are attempting to break the record of the longest marathon playing indoor bowls,” Ms Pratt said.
“The record is 40 hours, but we are aiming for 48 hours of continuous play.”
Ms Pratt expected a number of Ballarat and Sebastopol residents to come on board and have a bowl on Friday.
A morning tea and giveaways were available between 11am and 1pm.
Helloworld Ballarat’s Leigh Johnson and bus driver Paul Patman took time out to have a bowl.
The bus has visited Warrnambool, Geelong and Ocean Grove, with Bendigo, Shepparton, Wangaratta and Albury next on the itinerary.
