BRETT Wilkie and Matt Flapper will bowl for a bronze medal in the men’s fours at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

They will face India on Friday at 9.45pm (AEST).

Host national Scotland ended Australia’s hopes of gold on Friday morning – winning a semi-final 15-10.

Wilkie, Flapper, Nathan Rice and Wayne Ruediger progressed to the last four with a 19-14 victory over Wales in a quarter final on Thursday night.

Australia dominated Wales early, leading 15-6 after nine ends.

That changed quickly with the Welsh getting within one shot at 15-14 after 13 ends.

The Aussies stood firm though with two shots on each of the last two ends.

Scotland made all the running in the quarter final - leading 7-1 and then 14-5.

This is Flapper’s second crack at a medal in Glasgow.

He lost a bronze medal match in the men’s triples.
