Details: It's that time of the year again and competitors will be converging on Ballarat for the well established Australian cultural event. The RSSC hosts 40,000 onstage appearances and competitors showcase theatrical disciplines including voice, music, and movement, vying to win more than $85,000 in prizes. Highway of Lost Hearts

Details: Mot wakes up one morning to find that her heart is missing from her chest. She can breathe; she has a pulse - but she feels… nothing. So, she decides to go and look for it. With her Dog enlisted as co-pilot , Mot heads down the highway of Lost Hearts into the deepest core of Australian outback. An allegory for a country that has lost its heart, Highway of Lost Hearts leaves you pondering the question: when your heart goes missing, what lengths will you go to, in order to find it again? A Winters Afternoon Of Music

Birds, Beasts, & Blossoms exhibition opening

Where: Backspace Gallery, Huyghue House, Alfred Deakin Place at Camp Street and Police Lane, Ballarat.
Details: Involving 15 visual artists from across Victoria responding to the call for work that features the natural world in all its glory - both real and imagined including photographer Paul Anthony. The show will be opened by renowned award-winning naturalist painter Criss Canning. The gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, between 12-4pm, and the exhibition will run until August 10. Details: A free community fair to celebrate the opening of the new BCH healthcare facility at Lucas. Lots of fun and loads to do for the kids with a kids gym, face painting and jumping castle. SPC IN CONCERT

Where: St Patrick's College Chapel
Details: SPC in Concert is a showcase of SPC musical talent including soloists, staff ensemble, a chamber choir and our numerous ensembles. Our new acquisition, the Yamaha grand piano will be played for the first time in a public performance. The Rotary Club of Ballarat South has been extremely generous is providing financial support towards the purchase of the piano and ongoing support for our ensembles to tour Queensland again this year.
Entry is by donation towards the Queensland Tour the following week. Bookings are not required.
