Ballarat breakfast report: August 5

WEATHER

Finally a burst of warmth with the temperature only scraping close to zero at 9pm on Monday night. As the alarm set off at 6.30am the temperature sat at a mild four degrees.

A top of 11 degrees today and partly cloudy after patchy light frost clears early this morning.

A possible light shower this morning and afternoon.

Light winds becoming westerly 15 to 20 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the late afternoon.

POLICE

A man was arrested in Buninyong overnight after leading police on an extensive pursuit just after 10pm. 

The pursuit began after police were notified of an erratic driver in Ballarat East.

FIRE

Fire crews had a quiet Monday night with no call outs and participated in training.

AMBULANCE

Paramedics had nothing of interest to report.
