Today will be cloudy and dry but brollies will be needed if you're heading out tonight, with showers forecast for this evening. Temperatures will reach 13 degrees today but spring is still not quite on its way yet - there will be a chilly start to the week with a top of only eight degrees and rain forecast for Monday.
POLICE
While local police had a quiet night, the Sexual Crimes Squad have arrested a man following the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl in an East Caulfield car park on July 24.
Carlton man Joel Russo, 20, was charged with rape, assault with intent to rape, threats to kill and other offences.
He will face Melbourne Magistrates Court this morning.
AMBULANCE/SES
Both Ambulance Victoria and the SES had nothing to report overnight.
FIRE BRIGADE
The Ballarat Fire Brigade attended a gas leak at a service station on the corner of Eastwood and Humffray streets at 9pm Friday. The leak was caused by a gas valve being accidentally left on and was quickly fixed.
TRAINS
While the Ballarat train service is running on time today, there are minor disruptions to all the other country lines, which include Bendigo, Geelong, Gippsland and Seymour, due to track and signal faults and trains running with fewer carriages.
