The import will be having his first race start since pulling up lame in last year's WS Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.
Puissance de Lune subsequently had tendon surgery.
Ballarat trainer Darren Weir has booked Brad Rawiller to ride the former French stayer this preparation, which is primarily focused at winning a group 1 race to enhance his stud prospects.
Puissance de Lune is a group 2 and 3, and listed winner, but his best at group 1 level is two seconds.
This will be Rawiller's first ride on Puissance de Lune since he finished second at Warrnambool in October 12.
Rawiller had a perfect record of three wins in as many rides on the entire leading up to that outing, when the now seven-year-old was considered a certainty beaten.
Glen Boss replaced Rawiller, winning the Bendigo Cup and Queen Elizabeth Stakes in the spring of 2012, the Blamey Stakes (deadheat) in the autumn of 2013 and then last year's PB Lawrence Stakes.
Boss was also aboard when second in the group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes and Turnbull Stakes, before Ben Melham took the reins in the Cox Plate.
Puissance de Lune has firmed to $2.90 favourite with TAB.com.au for Saturday, ahead of Lidari ($4.80), Star Rolling ($7) and Zamorar ($7).
