The pair will use this weekend’s Parelli Road Race Series at Phillip Island as a launching pad for next year.

Chris will compete in the 600cc and 250cc production classes, while Jack is making the transition from the 250cc-300cc rank.

The Phillip Island stage marks the third round of the Parelli series.

“We’ve been planning this for a year,” Chris said.

“The island, being such a superb track, makes it one of the best in the world.

“It might be one of the biggest events in Australia based on entries.

“In terms of expectations, Jack’s the one to bet on because I’ll probably run in the middle of the field, but he’s shooting for a podium and that’s pretty realistic.”

The 17-year-old has had a number of podium finishes in 2014, as well as completing all four levels of the California Superbike School at Phillip Island and the Sydney Motorsport Park.

Next year holds a lot of  promise for Gallagher, who is targeting a rise to the top of the 300cc rankings.

Meanwhile, Chris, who is a level one motorcycle race coach, plans to continue his development in the 600cc class and compete in the 2015 International World Superbike Support Race, held in February.

“We’re building up to next year, (but) we are still taking these rounds seriously,” he said.
