The saxophone ensemble won gold at the Queensland and Catholic Schools' Music Festival, with stage band, concert band and the symphonic wind ensemble placing second.
At the Victorian Schools' Music Festival, both the concert band and symphonic wind ensemble received gold.
Adjudicator Dr Gary Sousa said the St Patrick's College symphonic wind ensemble were the "Rolls Royce" of bands.
School performing arts director Mark Witham said he was proud of the boys.
"I just asked them to do their best and put together all we have worked on for the last six months and the results speak for themselves," Mr Witham said.
For music captain David Adams, a Year 12 student, it was the third tour he had been involved in.
"It was different to the other years. I think I got more out of it this year," David said.
"A lot of band members were in Year 12 last year and finished, so we were a bit small at the start of the year, but we've really come together as a band."
The tour came off the back of "St Patrick's College in Concert" season, which ends next week with the bands competing in the Royal South Street competitions.
