Store manager Andrew Pocock launched an in-house coffee service for customers two weeks ago.
The barista-made coffee is free to customers who buy an item instore.
“We wanted to create a different atmosphere in store,” Mr Pocock said.
“We wanted a fun and more exciting shopping experience for our customers.”
The launch of the free coffee service complements store renovations to the fresh produce, bakery and deli departments.
The makeshift cafe is nestled in the back corner of the Redan store.
Barista Alex Irvine rotates two coffee blends for customers, including Ballarat-roasted Charisma Coffee and Castlemaine’s Coffee Basics.
Mr Pocock said four new baristas were hired to work in the store.
“The free coffee will be a permanent service,” he said.
“We have had nothing but positive feedback.”
