His father Shane, another Tiger tragic, believes it is a good omen. So much so he is taking the nine-year-old on a road trip to the Adelaide this weekend.
Isaac went to his first AFL game - Richmond's round 16 match against Brisbane - on July 5 at the MCG. After a scare, the Tigers beat the Lions by 25 points.
Neither he nor his father would have known it was game two of a remarkable nine-match winning streak which would lead to an elimination final match up with Port Adelaide on Sunday afternoon.
Isaac has been to two other Richmond games since then: against Port in round 17 and Essendon in round 20. Both were solid victories for the men in yellow and black.
Mr Darroch and Isaac are now hoping to make it four from four.
"It was Isaac who asked me if we could go to Adelaide," Mr Darroch said. "How could I say 'no'? I reckon he's a good luck charm."
It may have been Isaac's decision to head across the border for the Tigers' date with destiny.
But he may have had less say in barracking for Richmond in the first place.
"The decision was made for him," Mr Darroch admits. "I had to have one of my kids be a Tigers supporter. My daughter Keisha is Collingwood."
Isaac says his favourite player is Brett Deledio.
Because Isaac has a busy day on Saturday - he is having his confirmation at St Aloysius Parish - they will not leave until the early hours of Sunday morning.
Then there is a seven-hour road trip in Mr Darroch's Commodore ute emblazoned with Tigers stickers, arriving not long before the bounce of the ball.
If the Tigers do win, they will face another interstate trip to play either Sydney or Fremantle. Mr Darroch cannot promise backing up with another long haul, no matter how much Isaac wants to.
"I will not be driving to Perth, let me give you the tip," he says.
