Details: Mechanica is an indoor car and bike show, held across the Father’s Day weekend and open to hot rods, muscle cars, street machines, motorcycles and restored vehicles so bring your dad for a great day out with the whole family. Banongill open day
When: Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4.30pm.
Where: Banongill Road, Skipton.
Details: Enjoy Father’s Day and visit this magnificent historic garden partly designed by William Guilfoyle, featuring a vast lawn sweeping down to Mount Emu Creek with its famous spring display of millions of daffodils naturalised along the banks. The gardens surround the main homestead of a working station property of around 17,000 acres. There will be boutique wine and beer tastings, garden talks at 11am and 2pm and historical tours of the shearing shed at noon and 3pm. Entry is $12 for adults, children under 18 admitted free. Details: It will be a rip-roaring night with Ballarat band Plastic Paddys starting the night off, followed by funny man Brian Maher. The special treat of the night will be Melbourne band Bad Penguins, who promise to have the place jumping. There will be Guinness on tap, door prizes and loads more. The f Word: Contemporary Feminist Art in Australia

Details: Twelve artists take part in the second iteration of The f Word project, a multi-disciplinary project exploring contemporary feminist art, curated by Caroline Phillips.
