FOLK music fans will have the chance to hear from Celia Pavey's long awaited new EP this Saturday night.
Pavey will perform at Karova Lounge as part of her east coast tour to promote the release of her EP Bodies.
"I'm really looking forward to performing," she said.
"I have a band with me and we're going to play a few band songs, I'll also play a few solo songs and some covers."
Bodies features a cover of the song Bat For Lashes song Laura, and writing collaborations with Boy & Bear's Tim Hart and Bluejuice's Jake Stone in addition to one of Pavey's own song which she said was inspired by what was happening around her.
"I write a lot about people in my life. Most of my songs are about love or the habits people share," she said.
The 20-year-old artist last month released her new single Red which she wrote only a week leading up to recording her EP.
"It was a really quick decision to include Red on the EP," she said.
"It's exciting to have a song of my own included on the EP."
Critics have praised Pavey for her breakthrough into the music scene, but for Pavey it was simply just doing what she loves.
"Music was something I grew up with, as a child I learnt the violin and my mum and sister both played the piano, so I couldn't really escape from it" she said.
"I played with my sister and she inspired me to get out of my shell.
"Now I just love being able to share what I love."
