THE world fell in love with the Bee Gees and now their music lives on.
Returning to Australia after three years headlining in Las Vegas, the Australian Bee Gees Show are set to perform in Ballarat this month for their Sweet Songs of Summer tour.
Set to feature all the Bee Gees greatest hits throughout the decades, fans are in for a treat with a brand new show planned for their Australian tour.
We spoke with Michael Clift who will perform as Barry Gibb and he said the one night only show in Ballarat will touch on more than the songs made famous by the Australian trio.
"While we will focus on the big hits of their career, we will also touch on the stuff they did later on in their career," he said.
Clift said it wasn't just a show for fans who grew up with the Bee Gees blasting on their radios, but a generational show for all.
"The Bee Gees managed to jump generations, even the young ones know their songs," he said.
"Some bands fad out when their audiences do, but this hasn't happened to the Bee Gees.
"We get people coming up to us saying "we didn't know the sung that song", it becomes a real talking point after the show."
Like Clift, it's the emotional journey in each song that fans have continued to enjoy since the Bee Gees first glimpse of fame in the late 1950s.
"I love the distinctiveness of their voices, particularly Robin's, it's such an emotional voice," he sad.
"There is a lot of emotion in their writing."
The performance is set to feature video elements and multiple costume changes that highlight the success of the group.
