What better attributes could any emerging goalshooter ask for?
Brice made full use of her height and physical strength advantage to produce an impressive performance in Australia’s 90-16 win over Samoa in Ballarat yesterday.
She was introduced into the game at half-time and finished with 35 goals from 40 attempts.
Although Australia was rarely pushed, every outing in the four-nation 12/under netball series is vital in the development of every player.
Brice, 18, from Western Sydney is among the majority of girls on the Australian team out to impress and cement a spot in the side heading towards next year’s world championships in Scotland.
This is her debut in fully-fledged internationals in Australian colours.
Brice said every game was an opportunity to develop as individuals and as a team, with this being the first team they had been together as a unit in a tournament situation.
Like all her teammates, Brice has big ambitions – wanting to one day play for the Diamonds.
She plays with Baulkham Hills in the New South Wales state league at the moment and as her next step want to play with Sydney Swifts in the Trans-Tasman Championship.
