Filming began in Ballarat on Monday for the ABC drama’s third season, comprising eight episodes, after a week of filming in Melbourne last week.
Creator and producer George Adams said after filming at Lake Wendouree on Monday, the cast would film on the lake on Tuesday with a regatta, with high hopes there would not be much wind.
“This season there will be murder at the lake, and we will find out more background on the star characters,” Mr Adams said.
He said filming would also return to Lydiard Street, the Old Colonists Club and other spots in the city.
“We don’t stop from season to season. As soon as we finished season two, we began working on scripts for season three,” Mr Adams said.
“We’re already getting ideas together for next season.”
Mr Adams said filming would continue until Wednesday evening and return in about four weeks’ time.
