POLICE are conducting a safety review of an intersection near Bacchus Marsh after a major collision on Tuesday.

Three people, all aged in their 60s, were involved in a two-car collision at the intersection of Bacchus Marsh-Geelong and Exford-Parwan roads at Maddingley.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 8pm on Tuesday.
Two people were transported in separate air ambulances to The Alfred hospital in Melbourne.
The male was in a serious but stable condition with leg and shoulder injuries. He remains in a critical condition.
The female was taken in a serious condition with pelvic and leg injuries and remains in a stable condition.
A third patient, travelling south on Bacchus Marsh-Geelong Road in a delivery van, was transported by road to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition with multiple fractures and abrasions.
Bacchus Marsh Sergeant Trevor Johnstone said police were conducting a safety review of the intersection on Tuesday.
"When there is a serious collision we conduct a safety review by default," Sergeant Johnstone said.
