The seven-day event, which saw 30 riders travel over 500km across Victoria and Tasmania, has raised in excess of $500,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities programs, including the cornerstone program Ronald McDonald House.
This impressive fundraising total wouldn't have been possible without the overwhelming support of Ballarat locals, who helped to raise almost $30,000 at a fundraising event on Wednesday, August 27 at North Ballarat Sportsman's Club.
Ronald McDonald Houses provide a "home-away-from-home" for thousands of families in regional Victoria and Tasmania who need to travel to Melbourne or Hobart with a seriously ill child undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
The money raised from this year's ride will allow Ronald McDonald House Charities to continue to deliver and expand their programs, which provide invaluable support to seriously ill children and their families.
