Australian Photographic Society member Lorraine Harvey is flicking through a booklet of photos she’s snapped of statues and landmarks around the city.
“There’s some Greek philosophers, Queen Victoria,” Ms Harvey said.
The keen photographer has organised a scavenger hunt as part of APS Convention (APSCO), which starts on Saturday.
It is one of the many events that will be held during the week-long convention in Ballarat.
This is the first time the national convention has been held in town.
“There is an event every day of the week,” Ms Harvey said.
About 200 people from across Australia are expected to attend.
A special dinner will be held at Ballarat Lodge on Friday 26 to conclude the event.
Ms Harvey is part of the Ballarat Camera Club and an APSCO committee member.
There are two photography clubs in Ballarat and in Lal Lal, Maryborough and Skipton
Local photographers Andrew Thomas and Tony Long will speak at the event.
