Eisteddfod director Linda Kinnersly said Ballarat schools were well represented among the 100 choirs performing in the three-day competition at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
She said schools had been working on their performances for months in the lead up to the competition.
“It’s very prestigious, South Street, and our schools come from all over Australia to perform. Our Ballarat schools really do set the standard in choral.”
This year, choirs had the opportunity to participate in a section inspired by the popularity of the Glee Club.
