The all-rounder moves to Coronet City ranks with fellow Lucas premiership players Simon Hucker and former captain Nathan Clarke.
City firsts captain Troy McCarthy said the trio would be a great addition to the club's marquee team and their presence about the nets would be fantastic for the club on a broader level.
"These guys coming across have had success in cricket and they're going to be bringing that culture of success across with them to Coronet," McCarthy said.
"It's not just signing new players but it's more about us creating a good culture for the club in each grade. "
McCarthy said the trio's arrival would spark at domino effect in club ranks.
Experienced A-graders Stuart Squire and Phil Calvert will drop back to lead the seconds Squire as captain and Calvert as his deputy to help steady the pathway.
Wendouree veteran and minor grade premiership player Michael Niele has also transferred to help bolster City's lower grades.
McCarthy said that for the first time in a long time, there was lots of excitement and clear hope about City's pre-season training.
The club wants to avoid a quick fix and instead help keep momentum turning around.
City has secured key major sponsors, is running a television advertisement and has revamped its website to promote the club.
It will be one of the BCA's biggest clubs, sporting six senior teams, including two in division five with its Newlyn-branded team.
"Everything is going forward ... we're pretty excited as a club but we have no ridiculous expectations," McCarthy said.
" When we get back to the clubrooms, we want to see every grade get wins through the season rather than just asking if anyone came close."
City is scheduled to meet Ballarat-Redan and East Ballarat in the opening rounds.
