The results of the Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey were issued to councils by the state government in mid-July.
Large regional councils, including the City of Greater Bendigo, have already released their results.
But almost five council meetings have passed in Ballarat with no sign of the results in any of the meeting agendas.
The survey is an annual report which examines Victorian councils on their overall performance, customer service and advocacy.
The Courier sought the results for the City of Ballarat on July 17, when the survey was released by the state government.
The Courier was told by the city that results would be included in the next council meeting agenda, scheduled for August 13.
However, the results were not included in the agenda for that council meeting.
The Courier then requested the results be made public again on August 18.
The Courier was told by the city’s chief executive officer, Anthony Schinck, that the delay was due to a “crowded” agenda at the previous councillor assembly, meaning the survey results were unable to be included.
Mr Schinck said the survey results would be considered at the next councillor assembly and it was expected that the results would then be released at the following council meeting, scheduled for August 27.
But the results were not included in that council meeting agenda, either.
It has now been more than a month and there is no trace of the results in the public agenda for the next council meeting on Wednesday night.
On Tuesday, Mr Schinck said the survey was an important analytical tool for the council and time had been taken to ensure all data was understood.
“The survey results form part of our business intelligence that helps us to plan our future operations,” he said.
“All councillors will be briefed on the report at next week’s council assembly meeting, with a view to following up with a report to the council.”
