The host state compiled a winning record of seven wins, four losses and one draw in the initial rounds at the Ballarat Futsal Centre on Monday.
Victoria’s under-15 girls side has so far lived up to the hype dished out by coach Jack Mirabella.
The squad, comprised almost entirely of Ballarat-based athletes, won both its matches over Queensland City White and Northern NSW with respective 8-3 and 7-2 scorelines.
Meanwhile, Queensland teams dominated the most matches in the under-19 boys and girls divisions.
Ballarat is hosting teams in the under-15, 16 and 19 girls and under-16 and 19 boys grades, while Bendigo is playing host to the junior divisions for the tournament set to finish on Thursday.
