Investigators have been told a 29-year-old man was walking north along the road around 1.30pm on August 15. He reached Shepherd Street and started to cross, but was hit by a white car that had turned left from Peel Street North into Shepherd Street.
The car continued west along Shepherd Street and did not stop after the incident.
The 29-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police have made a number of inquires in an attempt to identify the car and driver, but have so far been unsuccessful.
