The final physical screening follows a full morning of club interviews that continued on from Thursday night at Etihad Stadium.
North Ballarat Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said feedback on the boys, as well as an injured Dan Butler, had been fantastic after three intense days under close scrutiny.
Marshall (Portland) clocked a personal best in the gruelling shuttle-run and while McDonald (Edenhope-Apsley) performed well. A strong beep test made under AFL Victoria conditions last week will also be taken into consideration.
St Patrick’s College footballer Brenton Payne, who plays TAC Cup with Western Jets, clocked the best shuttle run for ruckman with a level 13.5.
Fellow St Pat’s and Western Jets teammate Liam Duggan also performed well in the shuttle run with 14.5.
In a packed day three schedule, candidates also undertook skills testing with the clean hands, kicking and goal kicking tests.
