FOUR-TIME United States group 1 winner Winchester will gallop at Dowling Forest Racecourse on Sunday.
Flemington/Ballarat trainer John Sadler will give the WS Cox Plate and Caulfield Cup hopeful a workout 30 minutes before the first event on the Ballarat Turf Club program.
Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Glen Boss will be in the saddle.
Winchester will gallop with stablemate Rusticated, which is on the comeback trail from a tendon injury and nominated for the Caulfield Cup.
A seven-year-old, Rusticated has not raced since May last year, when the promising stayer won three races on end.
Winchester is yet to race in Australia.
A six-time winner in 25 starts, Winchester's last visit to the races was in November last year.
Malua Racing stable manager Troy Corstens said Winchester would have his first Australian start in the group 1 $400,000 Underwood Stakes, 1800m , at Caulfield, on Saturday, September 12.
