Almost 100 competitors from 11 regions took to the pool (Ballarat, Bendigo and Echuca boasted the loudest cheer squads).
The meet was also a chance for some competitors to fine-tune their race for the upcoming nationals, which double as a qualifying meet of next year's Special Olympics world summer games in the United States.
This meet is plenty of fun and offers a chance to catch up with friends - but the racing is pretty competitive too!
Special Olympics Ballarat offers weekly sports programs for about 60 athletes with intellectual disabilities.
