Details: Your chance to visit five private gardens, some open to the public for the first time. The theme of “Earth’s Bounty” covers gardens from native to organic to farm gardens and gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy Ballarat’s Spring gardens, to meet the owners and glean some local knowledge and take home a few ideas. Bullarto Spring Fair and Goat Festival
When: Sunday , 10am to 3pm.
Where: 131 Bullarto South Road, Bullarto.
Details: Bullarto primary school’s spring fair is one with an exciting twist – goats. Look forward to all the usual fun, spring fair activities and stalls, but be ready to feast your senses on all things goat, as the students, along with members of the Central Highland’s Goat Club, present all their wonderful knowledge and expertise of goats. The festival includes information and demonstrations on goat husbandry, making goats cheese and a range of products from hand cream to ice-cream. Enjoy the picturesque surrounds, dine in at the Happy Goat Cafe and be entertained by the students as they present their puppet play, “What the Wise One Said.” Entry is $5 per group.
Jazz afternoon
When: Sunday, 1-4pm.
Where: Ballarat Golf Club, Sturt Street, Ballarat.

Halloween ComicFest
When: Saturday, 10am-4pm.
Where: Heroes HQ, 1 Shepperd Street, Ballarat.
Details: Heroes HQ in Ballarat will be one of thousands of comic book shops celebrating Halloween ComicFest this weekend. It will be a day full of free comics, The Greatest Halloween Costume Contest Ever, games, activities and more. Ballarat Spring Antique Fair
When: Saturday and Sunday, starts 10am.
Where: Ballarat Exhibition Centre, 501 Dowling Street, Wendouree.
Details: A huge range of quality antiques and collectables from all over the world will be on show including antique furniture, jewellery, china porcelain and vintage prints, collectables as well as vintage clothing and accessories. The Good Life Festival
When: Sunday, 9am- 4pm.
Where: Uniting Church Grounds, Midland Highway, Buninyong.
Details: Come along to the festival – a community-focused annual celebration of ideas, interests and what it means to live “the good life”. With a focus on health, there will be The King Of The Mountain fun run/walk, along with a health hub and other interactive activities. The festival is a free family fun day full of entertainment, market stalls, children’s precinct with pantomime performances, craft activities and more. Free entry. Dolls House and Miniatures Fair and Exhibition
When: Saturday, 10am-4pm.
Where: Brown Hill Public Hall, 375 Humffray Street North, Ballarat.
Details: The fair caters for miniature enthusiasts from across Victoria and interstate with a handcrafted display by local miniaturists. An endless array of miniature items can be purchased from the trading tables (includes interstae traders) and catering is available.
