Presented by The Courier, the month-long event will celebrate the growing quality of Ballarat's food scene with 30 special foodie events held during the entire month of November.
Participating restaurants and cafes will showcase the best of food and wine available as part of the 30 days of celebrations.
One celebration will be at The Mallow who will hold a beer versus wine degustation on Tuesday November 30.
"Our head chef Dean Pedrotti is making up a four coarse menu which will be given to a team of beer and a team of wine connoisseurs who will taste the menu and select a beer and wine to go with each meal," Owner Sophie Robb said.
"So on the night the courses are served with a beer and wine and people will have to vote on their favourite.
"The idea behind the event is to help realise beer can be an amazing accompany."
Ms Robb said she doesn't doubt that the event will be a sell out.
Another highlight of the month long event will be the Family Hawkers Market on Friday November 23.
"This is a unique opportunity to come along with the kids, grandparents or a group of friends and purchase delicious tasting-size portions from a great selection of Ballarat venues you may not have had the chance to visit yet," said The Courier's publishing and sales director Jade Morrison.
Sponsored by Ballarat Regional Tourism, the Good Food Ballarat concept is modelled on successful Good Food events already established in Melbourne and Sydney.
