You're now singing the Ballaarat song in your head, aren't you?
Ballarat's One Man Band, Frank Callahan, is best known as the man behind the catchy tune.
While Frank, 87, didn't write Ballaarat, he does have a strong family connection with the song.
Ballaarat was composed, arranged and recorded by Walter Bevan and Reg Stoneham in 1927 (the year Frank was born).
It was debuted during the Home to Ballaarat celebrations that same year.
"My maternal grandpa, Peter Early, was a member of the committee who launched the Ballaarat song in 1927 when Maud Cameron sang the song from the balcony of The George Hotel," Frank told The Courier in 2010.
Between 2006 and 2008, Frank's version of the song was played on repeat at Central Square's Armstrong Street entrance in a bid to stop troublemakers from loitering outside the shopping centre.
And, in July last year, Ballaarat came in at number five in The Courier's search for Ballarat's tops 20 songs (The Mavis' 1998 hit single Cry took out number one spot).
