The Kangaroos announced Anthony's delisting on Friday.
His departure comes as no surprise.
Anthony spoke about his impending delisting at the Roosters' best and fairest count early last month, when he shared the Allen Stott Medal with Nick Peters.
Anthony, 27, recruited with pick 43 in the 2008 national draft and played 58 AFL games in six seasons.
The Kangaroos delisted eight players, with five of them playing with North Ballarat in VFL this year: Cam Delaney, Max Warren, Robin Nahas, Mitch Wilkins and Anthony.
Delaney has been troubled by a long-term foot injury and managed part of just one game with the Roosters in 2014.
North Melbourne is expected redraft Delaney.
Warren played 18 games with the Roosters this year to take his tally with the club to 43.
Nahas had just the one season from North Melbourne after crossing from Richmond, and made two appears for North Ballarat.
Wlikins made 35 appearances for the Roosters, including 18 this year.
ESSENDON has delisted former North Ballarat Rebel Kurt Aylett.
The club made finalisations to its list on Friday ahead of November's national draft, but plans to re-draft Aylett during the December rookie draft.
Aylett was traded to Essendon in 2013 from the GWS Giants, along with Shaun Edwards for Essendon's pick 48.
Originally from Leeton in southern New South Wales, Aylett was recruited as a 17-year-old in a special pre-season draft before GWS' maiden AFL season.
DALLAS Willsmore has been upgraded to Hawthorn's primary list ahead of the 2015 AFL season.
Willsmore, a former North Ballarat Rebel, was taken at pick 17 in the 2014 Rookie Draft.
The 191-centimetre half-forward from Underbool kicked 12 goals for Hawthorn's VFL Box Hill in an encouraging first year.
He played a total of 14 games for Box Hill, and five for its development league squad in 2014.
Willsmore joins young forward Zac Webster as the only other player to make Hawthorn's primary squad as reigning premier finalises its list for a tilt at a third consecutive premiership.
"Dallas and Zac have had good years, Zac's has been a bit interrupted in relation to injury, but he's played really well when he's been on the field," Hawthorn list manager Graham Wright said on the club's website.
"We think both those boys can step up and play AFL footy."
The former St Patrick's College student is also an AIS-AFL Academy graduate.
