For the second consecutive year, dour weather will greet Ballarat's SpringFest Market Weekend. A drizzly, cold day will see temperatures peak at 13 degrees.
The afternoon and early evening could get worse with hail expected. Winds westerly 30 to 35 km/h tending southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the morning.

Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit is investigating a stabbing at York Street, Ballarat at 7pm on Friday.
Detective Sergeant Nathan Parker said investigations were ongoing but appealed for witnesses to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A quiet night for Ballarat's fire crews. Ballarat City Fire senior station officer Steve Poulter warned residents to be mindful of burn offs getting out of control, urging residents to be mindful of the weather after a few planned burns got out of control across the state over the past week.
