The Beet eclipsed second-ranked Lucas’ 207-run tally with four wickets to spare and just inside 10 overs to play.
Opener Chris Giampaolo (43 runs) and captain Sam Godfrey-Roberts (40 runs) anchored the chase.
Beeters Simon McCartin (33 runs), Callum Currie (24), Matt Evans (17 not out) and Joel Ritchens (17 not out) all contributed to an even and solid innings.
Lucas’ Andrew Hill took three wickets in his six overs and Russell Brookes nabbed two.
But it was not enough to match Burrumbeet.
Lucas top-order batsman Jake Pring chalked up a half-century, belting 54 runs off 53 balls in 57 minutes, before Currie had him dismissed.
Pring also formed an important 55-run fourth -wicket stand with Paul Jones to set up the innings.
He followed the tone set by opener Brad Allan, who launched the tally with 38 runs.
Nicholas Young was also handy in the Lucas top order with 38 runs.
Lucas was all out with five balls to play in the innings after facing an even Burrumbeet bowling line-up, headlined by Andre Prenc’s 3-37 off eight overs, including one maiden.
VRI Delacombe was cruelly cut short in its chase.
Rain forced match abandonment when VRI was 17 runs short of victory against Buninyong. VRI’s Ryan Isbister did the bulk of the chase work with 70 runs.
Meanwhile, Creswick Imperials continued their unbeaten run in Maryborough District Cricket Association A-grade ranks.
The Imperials put on 183 runs and bowled out Colts Phelan for 122 in a two-day game on Saturday and Sunday.
