About $60,000 will be spent on electronic 40 km/h speed signs at Delacombe Primary School if the Coalition is re-elected.
“The current static signs will be replaced with electronic flashing signs to increase visibility to motorists approaching the school,” Liberal candidate for Wendouree Craig Coltman said.
“Those flashing lights will help motorists see the school speed sign and slow down earlier to provide a safer crossing for our vulnerable road users.”
Liberal candidate for Buninyong Ben Taylor also announced the Sebastopol Men’s Shed would receive $60,000 to relocate the group to a more permanent location.
“It is so men can come together, it’s about that healthy wellbeing and getting out of the house and being part of a group and being able to talk to each other,” he said.
“This has been about a six to eight month process.”
Public Transport Minister Terry Mulder was present for both of the announcements.
