Carriages claimed the third running of the $200,000 Magic Milions Ballarat 2yo Clockwise Classic, 1000m - adding to Waterhouse's 2013 Ballarat Cup win with The Offer.
She powered home in the only clockwise race in Victoria to beat the previously unbeaten Prompt Return. Moral Outrage finished third.
Carriages had finished third at her only previous start at Randwick.
Gold Coast-based senior owner David Henderson said the filly's debut had left connections a little flat, but Waterhouse had talked the up for the trip south.
Henderson confirmed Carriages would now be set for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic on the Gold Coast in January.
He said he had twice finished second the big one on the Gold Coast.
"She's a smart filly.
"We'll be there having a big crack at it."
Henderson, of Henderson Racing and Breeding, said it was his first time in Ballarat.
He said it was great to chase these Magic MilIons features snd get the job done.
Henderson also praised the ride if Craig Williams.
