The young gun jockey rode Zuma Roc to victory in race nine on the Ballarat card, holding out Eximius by 1.5 lengths to claim the treble for the day.
Schofield had previously won Making Mayhem in race five and De Little Engine in race one.
It was the fifth win from 29 starts for the Peter Moody-trained horse.
Peter Moody's racing manager Jeff O'Connor said the mil distance suited his horse.
"We thought with the sprint at the mile he would have that dash where at the 1400m he might not have had it, so he needed the mile," O'Connor said.
"As they were going to the gates I saw the flags on the infield turn and there is one race every prep when the pattern turns a little bit and we were the benficiary of it."
Zuma Roc paid $9.50 for the win.
