Ingram crafted 62 runs off 30 balls, then captured 2-12 off his four overs to lead Wendouree to victory against East Ballarat on Sunday.
Golden Point kept the former Jamaican international to 15 runs off 13 balls, and 0-16 from his four overs with the ball, when they clashed later in the afternoon.
Ingram, a left-handed batsman and orthodox spinner, is on loan from Victorian sub-district club Plenty Valley for the BCA’s Twenty20 series.
His Plenty Valley teammate, Welshman Garth Davies, made 23 runs in North Ballarat’s opener against Point.
Roosters skipper Leigh Lorenzen was North’s standout star in the round-one fixture with an unbeaten 43 runs and capturing 1-17.
Lorenzen’s wicket was the scalp of Point import, Nepalese national player and Greenvale premier cricketer Sunam Gau-
tam, who made an unbeaten 47 runs in Point’s six-wicket win.
Gautam put on an 82-run partnership with David Whapplington (50 runs, not out) for the second wicket.
In other highlights, Nicholas Baird made 74 runs for Mount Clear as the Mounties eclipsed Brown Hill’s 159-run tally by 10 runs in their 20 overs.
Ballarat-Redan claimed two wins from two starts, including a one-run thriller against Burrumbeet.
The Combine put on 106 runs in 18 overs (Anthony Taylor, 28 not out) under fierce attack from Beet bowlers Dean Mathews (3-9), Wayne Martin (3-20) and Nathan Horbury (2-25).
Simon McCartin led the Beeters’ chase on an unbeaten 67 runs as Combine bowlers Chris Egan, Greg Wakeling and Anthony Taylor claimed two wickets apiece.
