George Zahra, 47, was "agitated and intoxicated" when he grabbed the victim's beard and threw him into a parked car after over-zealously celebrating his team's win against the Sydney Swans in August.
Magistrate Cynthia Toose said Zahra's behaviour "was totally inappropriate" and fined him $500.
