Goldfields regional manager Rod Ward categorically dismissed any possibility of change in a brief statement on the topic to the BFNL annual meeting on Monday night.
He said there had been no requests to AFL Victoria and there were no plans to carry out any review or restructure in the region.
Sunbury Football Club earlier this year raised the idea and entered informal discussions the BFNL’s other eastern bloc clubs about the possibility of breaking away from the competition.
Sunbury mooted either joining another league or forming a breakaway competition.
The Lions did not have a delegate at the BFNL annual meeting.
GERARD Harrington and Shane Anwyl have joined the Ballarat Football Netball League board of directors.
Each fill executive director vacancies.
Harrington was elected for a two-year term and Anwyl for a one-year term at Monday night's BFNL annual meeting.
The only board vacancy remaining is the director of umpiring, which has been held by Ballarat Football Umpires' Association chairman Jamie Love.
Love is standing down from the role.
The new BFUA chairman will join the BFNL board.

THE BFNL plans to have draft senior, junior and youth girls fixture finalised before the end of the year.
Operations manager Aaron Nunn said as it was each year he first needed to see the VFL draw.
He said once he knew the availability of North Ballarat Roosters’ home ground Eureka Stadium, he would put together a fixture.
BALLARAT Football Netball league will introduce an 11/under reserves netball competition next season.
The BFNL had 11/under for the first time this year.
This will expand the junior netball competition to eight levels – 17/under seniors and reserves, 15/under seniors and reserves, 13/under seniors and reserves, and 11/under seniors and reserves.
BFNL operations manager Aaron Nunn said it would be compulsory for all clubs to have C grade teams in 2015.
Seven clubs had C grade teams last season – Lake Wendouree, East Point, Melton, Bacchus Marsh, Darley, Ballarat and Sebastopol.
BFNL youth girls football appears likely to remain an 11-team competition in 2015.
BFNL operations manager Aaron Nunn said at the stage there was not likely to be any change to the structure, but he would have talks with clubs with had shown interest in the past.

ADULTS will pay $10 to attend BFNL senior football matches next year.
Football programs will be available at no extra cost.
Admission this year was $8, with programs carrying a cover price of $2.
LONG-serving director Peter Shanahan is Ballarat Football Netball League’s newest life member.
Shanahan, of Sunbury, received the honour at the BFNL annual meeting on Monday night.
Shanahan is entering his 10th year on the board of directors, having joined in 2005.
The BFNL executive director had had various roles with St Arnaud (North Central FL), Redbank-Moonambel (Lexton FL) and Broadford (Riddell District FL) getting involved with Sunbury.
Shanahan spent five years on the Sunbury committee and six with the Lions’ social club before becoming a BFNL director.
He said he had many great friends.
“The board’s fantastic.”
EAST Ballarat Junior Football Club administrator Kerrie Romeril is the 2014 Keith Lawrence Service Award recipient.
Romeril has contributed to East Ballarat is various netball and football capacities since 1986.
She has played and coached netball at club and inter-league levels.
Romeril had a role in the formation of the BFL netball competition, being a premiership player in the first year 1991.
She has been on the junior football committee for the past decade.
BFNL chairman Mick Toner, in presenting the award, said Romeril had also had many unofficial roles such as boosting club morale and developing a culture among junior players through the likes of thre “Fair Play and Respect Matters” program.
Romeril said it was great that women nowadays had more opportunities to fill key roles in football clubs.
She said there was nothing more rewarding than going to the football and netball and seeing so many youngsters playing.
THE AFL Victoria Goldfields Commission will make a call on a Central Highlands Football League request to change its junior age groups on Thursday night.
The CHFL wants to lift its under-14.5 to under-15 and under-17.5 to under-18.
The Ballarat Football Netball League is opposing the proposal.
