From my old cottage on the hill
It's a caption of the Canadian Valley
with its bushland birds and trills.
My window act as picture frames
They lack of fancy curtain frills
To frame a portrait part of history
With its long past mining skills.
Mid the golden green of eucalypts
Echoed many a miners find.
Today, there's peace and tranquility
That's elsewhere hard to find.
Make well our toasts to Eureka!
For pioneers who worked the mines
To enhance the lives of family
In this old land of changing times.
