Both are emerging players for Melbourne Boomers in the Women's National Basketball League and arrive at the MARS Minerdome at the recommendation of Boomers head coach and former Ballarat Miners' chief Guy Molloy.
Greaves and May have played alongside each other for a long time with SEABL rival Knox Raiders, which will enter recession next season.
They are a proven high-scoring pair that will help fill the void left by departing Rush star Steph Cumming.
Importantly, both bring high rebounding power to Rush - an area Rush lacked strength in last season.
Molloy was confident the pair would thrive at the Minerdome and had no hesitation in recommending them to the Rush program.
"Shanae and Jess are two players that have made strong inroads into the Melbourne Boomers list," Molloy said.
"They are likely to be not only statistical leaders for the Rush but also excellent trainers and confidence-builders within the team."
Ballarat Rush also announced Harvey Norman as its new naming rights partner.
