About 1800 sausages and 700 hamburgers were on the menu at the Ballarat Health Services Social Club Kids Christmas Party on Sunday.
An additional 400 hotdogs ensured the huge crowd in attendance left with very full stomachs.
Burrumbeet was converted into a mini show with dodgems, an animal farm, pony rides, tea cups and clowns keeping everyone amused throughout the day.
A year in the planning, Ballarat Health Services Social Club president Shane Quinlan said the stress of planning such a big event was worth it.
"Everyone had a great time," he said.
"We were a little worried about the weather to start with, but when we got out to Burrumbeet it was fine, at some stage it even got warm."
Santa's arrival stole the show with all hands on deck to help the deliver more than 600 presents.
"When Santa arrived the kids went wild, about 300 just went running to him," Mr Quinlan said.
"The smiles on the kids faces was what it was all about."
